Often both leaves
will be down during working hours from Tuesday, June 24 to
Tuesday, July 15. However, one leaf will be raised at 0900, 1100, 1300, and
1500 if there is a demand for it. Additionally, one leaf of the bridge will be
open every evening from 1600 to 0700. The commercial tour boats will get
openings on demand, and many folks can squeeze through with them. eg the
Fred Busse on its way back or to Lake Michigan.
Commercial vessel that need both leaves open during the working hours need to
contact the construction foreman at 920-858-3570 well in advance of the expected
transit, but during working hours.
Great care
should be taken when passing the bridge as the work barges and tugs will
continue to occupy the area during the coming months.
Please let them know you are coming via channel 16.
The tugs are know as Little Amy and Red
