Memorial Weekend Memorable!!

Our Lake Mohave Sail and Power Squadron participated in the Home Design Expo and More at Mojave Crossings on Memorial Day Weekend. It was a perfect ending to Safe Boating Week. We brought in a new pontoon boat, loaned to us by Bullhead City's Holiday RV & Marine. It was a beautiful tool for our "show and tell" demos about requirements for vessel safety checks, carbon monoxide poisoning, Quagga mussels and general boating safety information.

Thanks to our members for working long hours in the booth, hauling tables, the popcorn machine, a T.V. for boat safety videos, and all the miscellaneous items that made our booth stand out. We were a well-oiled machine!

Our raffle prizes were outstanding, and helped to pay for our booth expenses and will enable us to continue with our educational programs. The popcorn machine brought in donation money, as well, besides being a lot of fun.

We may be a small Squadron, but we have a powerful group of members. I'm proud of what we accomplished!! Thanks Barb Bramble for the surprise luncheon you brought in for Executive Officer, Joanne Waller's birthday. Very thoughtful! Wait till next year!
