Colorado River Clean Up
Lt/C Sharon Weller
Ready For Work With Grabbers In Hand (L to R)
Cdr Jo Waller, Linda Pensavalle, Norm Dack, Joe Weller, Sharon Weller and Andy PensavalleOur participation in the Colorado River Clean Up on Saturday, February 26, produced a great turnout by our members. Even though the weathermen predicted rain we were able to finish our area before the rain fell. And it did fall that day accompanied by hail and a couple of airborne electrical activity events. At about 8:30AM we met at the Davis Camp parking lot. Davis Camp is now a County Park. It was originally the site of the housing constructed for the workers who built Davis Dam. Several folks headed north (up river) while the rest of us headed south. We were able to contribute at least 6 bags to the trash bins and even saw the sun for about 2 minutes.

Linda Pensavalle And Sharon WellerThey say one man's trash is another man's treasure and that rang true when Barb Bramble found a Frisbee and fished it out of her trash bag to take it home. She said it was for the "dogs". That's her story and she is sticking to it! Thanks everyone for their efforts to keep the Colorado clean.
