A Unit of United States Power Squadrons® - District 28 Sail and Power Boating Boating is fun..We'll show you how |

We did it! Barb and Pat Bramble and I volunteered both Friday and Saturday for the 5th Annual Bullhead City Regatta and represented the Lake Mohave Power Squadron. On Friday afternoon and late into the evening, Barb and Pat worked at Davis Camp with Registration and I worked in the Hospitality area at the Bullhead Chamber building.
Saturday put Barb and Pat at Davis Camp again with Registration while I was stationed at the launching area checking credentials on the North side of Community Park. We were there from early morning (6:00 am) until sometime in the mid-afternoon - who knows what time it was when we left, we were ready to go home, clean up and relax.

Incredible Display Of The Number Of People
Lots Of People Having Fun, Fun, Fun!
Did He Miss His Float?Barb, Pat and I agreed that Regatta volunteering was a lot of fun even with all the work. Very few problems were encountered and we will definitely do it again next year. On Saturday, the actual Regatta day, the weather was a bit "iffy" for a while with slight drizzles but it was so warm that the drizzles were a welcome relief. Those drizzles also kept the sun from beating down on everyone and made for quite a pleasant day.
OMG! Look Out For The Duck
Awwwww, They Look HappyThe river was calm, the breeze slight and everyone was happy. It truly was a pleasure to be there, to see all the wonderful colors of the floats as they drifted down the river while watching and listening to an estimated 29,000 participants doing what they came for - to experience an awesome float down the Colorado River in Bullhead City's 5th Annual River Regatta!
