America's
Boating Club®-United
States Power Squadrons®
is the world's largest recreational boating organization with 20,000
members. Members learn together, boat together, and help each other
and other boaters on the water and on land. The only requirements
for membership are a keen interest in boating and an eagerness to
meet and enjoy time with other boating enthusiasts. Having a boat is
not required.Our
club, America's Boating Club Southern Maryland (ABCSOMD)
- Patuxent River Sail and Power Squadron, is a member of
America's Boating Club - United States Power Squadrons. We are
located in Lexington Park, MD home of the Patuxent River Naval Air
Station. The club serves the Southern Maryland counties of Charles,
St. Mary's and Calvert. America's Boating Club Southern Maryland is
a boating social/educational organization dedicated to providing
year round boating education classes as well as water and land based
social activities enjoyed by all our members.
Our monthly squadron membership dinner is held on the second Thursday of the month at locations announced below. Dinner begins at 5:30pm with the member meeting at 6:30 pm. Please Join us!

- ***THE NEWS***
*** Our Squadron Christmas Party will be held on Saturday, December 14, starting at 6:30pm. There will be no regular dinner meeting in December. The party will be at the Bugeye Grill on Solomons Island. Use the SQUADRON CALENDAR link at left for more details and directions to the grill. This will be a good vantage point to view the Boat Parade.
*** At The squadron will be teaching the Maryland Safe Boating class and hosting a booth at the Southern Maryland Fishing and Outdoor Fair. The fair will be at the St. Mary's County Fairgrounds on Saturday April 5 and Sunday April 6. We will need volunteers for the booth and to teach. To see the flyer for the fair click here
