SQUADRON AUXILIARIES
This has been prepared to give a brief overview of what an auxiliary can do to help squadrons, what squadrons can do to help auxiliaries and how to start an auxiliary in your squadron.
In some cases, a family member may prefer to be a member of an auxiliary rather than a squadron member.
Auxiliaries forge friendships, plan interesting programs and accomplish their main purposes, which are to support their squadrons and have fun.
Squadrons often experience an increase in participation when family members become involved and find programs and activities that interest them.
WHAT AUXILIARIES CAN DO TO HELP SQUADRONS.
Auxiliaries promote family involvement and help form a USPSâ team with common goals. Auxiliaries add strength to squadrons by helping with membership, member involvement, retention and by increasing the enjoyment of being a part of USPS.

Auxiliaries must be sponsored by a squadron. There must also be an affiliation between an auxiliary member and a squadron member. Auxiliary members can be male or female.
IN SUMMARY
|
If your squadron does not have an auxiliary, sponsor one today. It is a win-win opportunity for the squadron and auxiliary. There should be no competition between the organizations, as squadron members may also be auxiliary members. It provides members with more opportunities and the chance to enjoy the best of both groups. With both a squadron and an auxiliary, you can provide activities that are attractive to all family members and you can share in the joy of being part of the USPS team. |
