SSS 41 & US Power Squadron Charting Course

We have been very fortunate to have Mr.Douglas Sewell, a certified instructor with the United States Power Squadrons, teaching us charting. Here you see us learning hands-on about charting a course from the flashing white nun at Vermilion to the buoy off Kelly's Island. The good news is we all ended up in the same spot.

Exam is next week!!

Chart Smart Graduation

Yes, we all successfully graduated from the US Power Squadron Chart Smart course thanks to our instructor, Capt. Doug Sewell. You see us holding up our Power Squadron certificates. We now are able to navigate and plot a course to any destination, know our arrival time and the distance covered.

Next summer we will put our new found knowledge to good use with cruising to the islands.
