COMMANDER'S MESSAGE, First, thanks to all of the members who expressed their confidence in me to lead our boating club! Secondly, thanks for a new year and all of those who are with us! We're happy our friends are still with us. Our boating education courses are second to none, and our instructors are first class, but it is all of our friends that make squadron membership such a pleasure and brings joy to our lives. However, hopefully we're on the back curve of this pandemic, and we'll be able to ressume our in-person classes and enjoy the camaraderia of fellow boaters very soon. So now, please begin making your lists for activities we need to schedule when we're able. In the times until then, maybe we can avail ourselves of the opportunities to explain America's Boating Club benefits to the new boaters from last year. Last year was a record year for boat sales. If you notice a neighbor with a new vessel, please take a few minutes to talk to them and let them know we can help them understand boating better and probably save on the costs by insurance discounts and better maintenance. If you are out enjoying the view around the lake, go help a new boater if you see them experiencing difficulties, and share with them where you've learned some of your skills. Maybe they will want to learn more. In any regard, remember, you are a representative of the club. Looking forward to a better year and more times together!
