USPS squadrons do not have a physical facility / club. Meetings are held in both private and public venues.
Membership is open to all who have an interest in boating, whether or not you own a boat.
To join as a full member, you must be at least 18 years old and have a passion for boating safely.
The colors of our pennant are blue and white. The white indicates the white sands of a beach. The blue is the color of the water. The design itself, with its indentation, indicates a cove, "A haven or safe harbor for yachts". It also suggests part of the name of our Squadron in that a COVE molding used in building, could be of a somewhat similar shape.
Although I was an experienced boater, I learned a great deal from the Bare Cove educational courses. I made new friends and participated in social activities that I would not have otherwise been connected to. I also received a significant discount on my boat insurance. Definitely received value for my membership fee!
