Snow Cruise (Jan) Pre-St Patricks Day (Mar) Soak and Sweat (July) Halloween Party (Oct) Santa Cruise (Dec) Snow Cruise attracts six boats
By Lt/C Joe Warren, JNDeer Cove at Lake Pleasant was the congregating place for 5 PSPS member boats and one non-member boat on Saturday January 21, 2012
The annual event did nothing to live up to its name as the day turned out to be much nicer than predicted by the weatherman. The five PSPS boats included Summer Nights, Saguaro Breeze, Time Out, Aqua Star and Carlos Alvarez new 32-foot power boat (of which I did not get the name.) One of Carlos slip neighbors also joined us.
Snow Cruise cruisersDavid and Janet Allocco, Joe Warren, Jackie Wanta and Doug Stewart, a Canada Power Squadron member and associate member, enjoy a brief repast at Lake Pleasant at what appears to be a frosty day at Lake Pleasant.Another PSPS sailboat was on the Lake enjoying the sailing so much they missed the raft up. The sailors did get to enjoy a fantastic sail back to the docks when the raft up broke up later in the afternoon. Terry and Jean Gray had guests Jackie Wanta and Jan Park with them on Time Out, and yes, they did bring chicken. David Allocco accompanied by Janet Allocco on Summer Nights enjoyed the camaraderie. On Saguaro Breeze were Rob Anderson and Doug Stewart and me. I believe Dan and Kim Sheen had guests but I did not get their names. Carlos and Moriah also had guests that I did not get a chance to visit. It was a great day to be out and on the water with friends.
