The June Membership Meeting will be held at
the Knights of Columbus building near the
corner of New Hope and New Bern in northeast
Raleigh. Since the weather is getting quite
warm, we will have a cooler, lighter meal
catered by Sweet Tomatoes to make you feel
cool on a hot summer night. The meal will
consist of Tuna Salad Teragon, Chicken Wonton
Salad, 2 Cold Pasta Salads, Macaroni & Cheese,
Baked Potatoes & Toppings , Assorted Muffins
(Chocolate, Blueberry, Corn Bread), Chocolate
Chip Cookies, Tea & Lemonade.
The speaker for the evening will be Beth
Thomas, NC Division of Ferries. Since North
Carolina has one of the larger ferry systems in
the country, and we see them as we boat, it will
be interesting to hear about this alternative to
bridges. |
