Promoting Safe, Fun & Responsible Recreational Boating
Achieve voluntary compliance with federal and state recreational boating safety
laws concerning safety equipment
Learn about safety and environmental issues through voluntary contact with a
Bare Cove Sail & Power Squadron Vessel Examiner (VE).
VE discussions with recreational boaters are centered on:
- Maintaining and operating your boat in a safe manner
- Encouraging the completion of boating safety courses to increase your boating knowledge and skill
- Promoting safe boating
Vessels that are deemed by the Examiner to be in compliance with federal and state requirements are issued, and may display, the combined USPS/USCGAUX "Vessel Safety Check” decal.
