PUBLIC BOATING COURSE
The Basic Boating Course is
offered to the public one to two times per year. The
Instruction is free, however, there is a charge for
materials. Upon successful completion of the course,
qualifies the individual to apply for the
Safe Boating Certificate issued by the State of
Connecticut
The Middletown Power Squadrons
has been participating in this program for over 50
years. The course is taught by qualified instructors
that are experienced boaters. What this means to the
individual taking our public boating course, is that
they just do not get a text book understanding of safe
boating. What they get in addition is an exposure
to an instructor who incorporates a lifetime of actual
on the water experiences. This is very
important when presenting the first class course
material that The United States Power Squadrons develops
for their public boating classes. If you have not done
